I found Mr. Bell to be highly professional, thorough & approachable. It was plain that his desire was to attain the best outcome for his patient - and he achieved that, for which many thanks. He and his PA also went out of their way to try and accommodate my particular timing needs.
I would have no hesitation in making a recommendation.

Absolutely fabulous throughout, from consultation to the 1st year's review. Faultless. He was supported by excellent staff that provided all the necessary reassurances during this treatment, particularly Margaret. I was in serious discomfort before Mr Bell assessed the situation & organised my knee replacement. I was obviously scared of what was planned but everything was explained in a way I could understand & because I followed all the instructions/advice of the nursing staff I have made a full recovery. It is now 2 years since I had the replacement & I can now fly fish in comfort & chase my little grand daughter. I am so pleased with the result.

In consultation, Jonathan Bell has a pleasant, non-patronising and reassuring manner. He listened to what I had to say and ask, took the time to answer questions in detail, including the less relevant ones, was very frank about the possible outcome of arthroscopy surgery for a tear in the menescal cartilage and gave me all the information I needed to make the decision to go ahead with the procedure.
Post operative, he reassured me all had gone well, dealing immediately with a minor problem that occurred, and made sure I had the information and contact details I would require once l left the hospital.
In the follow up consultation three weeks after surgery, again, Mr Bell listened to my questions. He told me in detail what the procedure had found and what had been done, examining the knee and explaining the ongoing healing process, and checked that I was receiving appropriate physiotherapy.
I was reassured throughout!

Dr Bell took over my case after I had an operation in France ( Tibia Plateau injury) and was excellent providing great care and advice . I would thoroughly recommend him .

He is an amazingly talented Orthopaedic Surgeon and has done a brilliant job on both my knee replacements. I have recommended him to numerous friends with knee problems, one of whom had both knees done at once.
